Rubén G. Rumbaut is a prominent Cuban-American sociologist and a leading expert on immigration and refugee movements in the United States.<BR>Since 2002, he has been a Professor of Sociology at the University of California, Irvine. He is also formally affiliated with Education, Criminology, Law and Society, and Chicano-Latino Studies at the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Rumbaut received his Ph.D. in sociology from the Brandeis University in 1978.
