Robert Penn es un periodista y escritor que publica en The Guardian, Observer, Sunday Times, FT, Independent on Sunday y Conde Nast Traveler, además de muchas publicaciones sobre ciclismo. Presentó el documental BBC4 / 2 'Ride of My Life: the Story of the Bicycle' y la serie de BBC4 'Tales from the Wild Wood'. Recorrió en bicicleta la autopista transamazónica con Freddie Flintoff para hacer 'Road to Nowhere', calificado por The Times como “brillantemente contado”. Ha escrito los libros “The Sky is falling on our heads”, “The Wrong Kind of Snow” y “The man who made things out of trees”.
